My Precious!!

Smeagol Gollum!
Over this few years, I've come to realsie that what is precious matters to me, not those mindless hours doing stuff that , well, is simply wasting away my grip on what is precious.(signs of poor vocabulary, something like the signs from your constellation.)

Wouldn't you give up everything for something that is ultimately important to you? Christ came to teach us to truely live; you may live for something that is truely preacious to you, cherish it, keep it, let it grow, take pride in it, let it come to fullness & bear fruit. Remember the 3 parables where those ficitonal characters(which you might want to become) gave up everything just for everything. Just as God the Father gave his only Son(woah sounds big!) just to save us. Remember the fig tree & the vine branches.

When it is time to let go, return it to God gracefully, just as freely as the gift was given. The grey difference between obsession & cherishing something is the way we take it: the balance & not becoming enarmoured by it so much that you must be wrenched from it.
Just as I would be giving up man things, I hope that I wouldn't forget everything important, God & family. Is LoG important to you? Give all your time, energy, emotion, pasion, motivation & resources on your choice. God wanted us to live fully, which meansw in the right manner. Reenter the spirit of Lent once more.

hm. from the couple of email i received (one from von and another from my friend)
its still lent pple! its never to late to make lent more worth it! Jesus didn't die for no reason.

Beginning the journey in the footsteps of Christ

When we unite ourselves to the passion and death of Jesus, by connecting
our pain to his we also experience his victory and resurrection. This
Lent, as we follow Jesus in his footsteps, our journey will teach us to
embrace our crosses. We will discover great blessings in them.

In today's Gospel passage, Jesus gives us a walking staff to help us on
our journey. It has three parts. The bottom of it is prayer -- this is
what grounds us. The middle section is fasting -- this is what gives
strength to the staff. The top section, like a shepherd's crook, is
almsgiving, because it bends our heavenward heart back to earth where we
minister to the people God has placed in our lives.

ALMSGIVING is a gift we give to God in thanksgiving for his generosity
toward us. Jesus describes two different "rewards" -- the repayment
received by the Pharisees and the recompense given to those whose
generosity is based on love. Those who give lovingly are friends of God,
and since friends share freely with each other, we are generous with our
money and time and patience. Such love opens us to receive more of God's
love. For example, as we treat others with mercy and forgiveness, we
likewise receive God's mercy and forgiveness.

PRAYER can be motivated by a right attitude or a wrong attitude. Do we
pray with pious words and appropriate gestures to get people's approval?
Do we turn our attention to God in prayer because we want him to grant
us favors? Do we recite formula prayers over and over to convince God to
pay us heed? Or is our prayer time truly an intimate communication with
the One whom we dearly cherish?

FASTING is valuable only if it helps our spiritual life. If we fast so
that others will be impressed by it, it's worthless. Fasting originated
in Jewish history as a personal sacrifice on the Day of Atonement -- the
annual day for the forgiveness of sins -- to show God humility and
repentance. Today, fasting is recommended by the Catholic Church as a
means of acquiring "mastery over our instincts and freedom of heart"
(Catechism paragraph 2043). In other words, fasting helps us enter into
greater conversion.

This walking staff is necessary for our journeys because it aids our
conversion. Almsgiving converts our hearts by sacrificing our selfish
attachment to materialistic stuff for the sake of loving others. Praying
converts our hearts by sacrificing our selfish use of time for the love
of God. Fasting converts our hearts by sacrificing our selfish
pleasures, represented by our enjoyment of food, for the strengthening
of our spiritual nature and our holiness.

Take a footstep forward: Pick up your walking staff.
===========================
MAYONNAISE JAR and 2 CUPS OF COFFEE

When things in your life seem almost too much to handle, when
24 hours in a day is not enough, remember the mayonnaise jar and 2 cups of
coffee.

A professor stood before his philosophy class and had some items in front of him. When the class began, wordlessly, he picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with golf balls.

He then asked the students if the jar was full. They agreed that it was.

The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them
into the jar.He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles rolled into the open areas between the golf balls.

He then asked the students again if the jar was full. They agreed it was.

Next, the professor picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar. Of
course, the sand filled up everything else.

He asked once more if the jar was full. The students responded with a unanimous "YES."

The professor then produced two cups of coffee from under the table and poured the entire contents into the jar, effectively filling the empty space between the sand.

The students laughed.

"Now," said the professor, as the laughter subsided, "I want you to
recognize that this jar represents your life. The golf balls are the important things
-
God, family, children, health, friends, and favorite passions
- things that if everything else was lost and only they remained, your life would still be full.

The pebbles are the other things that matter like your job, house, and car.

The sand is everything else -- the small stuff.

"If you put the sand into the jar first," he continued, "there is no room for
the pebbles or the golf balls.

The same goes for life. If you spend all your time and energy on the small
stuff, you will never have room for the things that are! important to you.

So... Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness. Play
With your children. Take time to get medical checkups. Take your partner out
to dinner. Play another 18.

There will always be time to clean the house and fix the disposal. "Take
care of the golf balls first -- the things that really matter. Set your priorities. The rest is just sand."

One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the coffee represented. The professor smiled. "I'm glad you asked. It just goes to show you that no matter how full your life may seem, there's always room for a couple of cups of coffee with a friend."

and just to add, write out your list of the 15 most important things in life to you. cancel 12 away starting with 5, then, another 5, then another 2.

so, are you living your life they way you think you should?

Denise is back! hahaa and tries to revive blog as well. haha

anyway i just realised the last time i blogged was like last year december about the

SUPER DUPA MEGA LOG EXCHANGE OF PRESENTS LIST

yeah ahahaha

and the last time i went for weekday mass was during log retreat..
like dang..

so i havent been to a single one this year..
in sfx that is..
mean i havent been to the adoration room in a long time.

well thats cos i always find that i've been so busy.

DID YOU KNOW THAT ITS A SONG IN THE BREAKING BREAD!
i went through all the songs in the bb to choose songs for mass..i dont know how to sing it tho..
but maybe you guy might want to just go look at the lyrics..
i know i havent..but it would be cool ahah i just look at the title aha

and i like the new log blog temp. nicee!! Good job!

anyway..i have to agree with von..
and i actually envy you guys who this year's lent is special to them
(i know my sentences arnt very coherent but oh wells bear with me.)
cos i know this is my most non meaningful lent. and heck i didnt even fast on ash wed..issit? i cant even remember when im supposed to fast.
the feelings of guilt and ignorance just dont go together knowing that i should do something but nothing.
and thank you anne for encouraging me to say the rosary or even 5 as matter of fact.
but i didn't say any.
yet heheh.

anyway guys...dont learn from me hahaa
i cant give you guys like words of wisdom or some inspiring bible verse cos i havent been reading the bible or praying or anything but all i can say is.

right now dont learn from me.
bad bad bad.

you know..we all have school cca studies more cca. extra cca. social life. family. how do we balance and find time for God.
you know people can easily say.. make time for God..like before you sleep or eat or when you wake up. but how many times we hear it do we actually act upon it.?
heck i dont..i only sleep 5 hrs or less a day and even less during exams that i get my very 1st mental block and it sucks and i then...only then do i ask God..is it because i didnt find the time? but how can i find the time if i could not find the time to sleep or enough time to study or i dont know then we make excuses again.

its like.
i dont know.
the answer for finding time for God i guess is.
i guess sometimes we cant squeeze in God in our lifes.
so what we need is sacrifice.
and with that leap..that willingness...God will reward you.
because he knows you trust him.

unless you become overly relient on yourself and then u mati lah.

Just know that.
we cant do everything on our own.
accept it.
if you find that u can.
well then..ask God? did you have something to do with this?
and dont feel like it was all your doing.

dangerous.

someone once told me
what 666 meant
its not demonic or anything this devils number.
6 as in humans..6th day. God made man..
we have original sin. and we are imperfect.
so 666 is like total reliance on men.
while throwing God aside.
thats what the devil wants.

pride.
its the spark that will ignite this chaos.
thats why i guess its considered the worst 7 deadly sin.

we all have amounts of it.
but do you know how much is good for you or how much is too much.
remember.
you can be shameless and yet have a whole load of pride.
that a great paradox aint it.
it what you choose.
And this free will is giving by God.
cos he loves us. and hes just waiting for us to choose

ok i dont know if you understood me. but heck.
emo confused period.
i get feel more strange with every sentence i write.

gahh i think this strangeness will subside in like 5 mins haha

remember! go for mass! haha and dont follow me! learn for my mistakes..cos the feeling sux..its like history..
why do we even learn history! how will it help us in our futre! ( stupid student asks and thinks its funny)
teacher says.
because we learn history to help us learn from their mistakes and and improve on their successes!

do you know why the ocean is blue?
because it reflects the sky.

my 1st smart answer in sec1 where no one else thought about it except me.
they all went wow...............i never knew.

ok i know no link.

must blog pple! cause we hardly see each other these days and sunday is so short and lazy (:
the username is now
leavenofgod@gmail.com and the password is still the same (if you forgot, ask around). (: cheers.

"It's nice to see you come for mass"

[jes plays diner dash on hp]
jes walks past the road where she normally turns in to go for mass.

jason(from behind): eh! are you going for mass?
jes: urm, i dunno, im tired. ah nvm, i'll just walk that way anyways.

at the entrance to go into church, i stood at the cross roads weighing the pros and cons of going for mass. after which, the Cons won because jes is tired.
but decided to go ado room since i was in church anyways.

whilst making my way out of church at 6.33 (mass is at 6.30) Swee pops up from behind and asks if I am going for mass (swee was late and was rushing for mass)
jes shakes her head and decided that, she's too tired.
but upon taking a couple more steps, i figured heck, that had to be a sign. god is annoying nice. so off i went for mass. and hohoho, just as i sat down victoria came from behind and sat with me! (:

how nice eh? 2 pokes to go for mass and an affirmation. God must have figured that mass was a bit monotonous for me. haha. it was nice (: it was a special mass . you know the sort of mass that makes you feel like god is talking to you and all the readings and the homily seem to be directed at you? (:
