HI LOGGERS!!
dunno whether this is a first, but this is a ADMIN POST!
July is going to be a very busy month so let us all try to commit to these things. It will go in chronological order kaez? =) in point form so its not a wall of text.
----------------------------- SAT NIGHT BBQ ------------------------------------
Yo, there will be a barbeque on the church rooftop this sat starting at 6 pm! All are invited for a time of fellowship and worship as we celebrate God's blessings on the confirmation camp! It'll be potluck as well so bring along something for three poeple if you are coming. Most importantly, tell me by tonight (thursday) whether you are coming. So far, its me and poey confirmed and a couple others who haven't confirm.

Woohoo! Okay this time around I think we will be a bit shorthanded on manpower so if you can come and help please do!!

4th July - Presenters Training
8th July - Spiritual Prep
11th July - Spiritual Prep
(both spiritual prep compulsory!)
18th July - Presenters and Facilitators Training (the presenters will present to the facils, then facils facilitate amongst themselves)
The training is compulsory as well, but there are two dates to go for. Since the YMC anniversary falls on the 26th of July, 25th July (for both facil and presenters) would not be a very good date, so we will try to all go for the 18th one.
TSHIRT
IMPT: For those facils and presenters, I need your shirt sizes.
Those who are not involved in the District Youth Day is also invited to attend the rally at CHIJ Toa Payoh! What I need is also your shirt sizes. Because the t shirt is the entry ticket to the rally, same as last year.
----------------------------- 50th Anniversary ------------------------------------
Firstly, an explanation on what its gonna be. It is a 3 Sunday thing. We have two Sundays as the proper for the celebration and the third Sunday is a fund raising effort. This excludes the briefing on the 19th.
19th July - Tentative Briefing date for all participating youths/ get to know each other session
26th July - Outreach Sunday
Okay this one partly my fault, cause the testimonials are still with me. However, only cornerstone and gift bearers have submitted their stuff so we have nothing much to rotate also. So what I need from yall:

- Oliver is upping the order on the food from external vendors, increasing the mee siam and dumplings to cover up staple food; less packet mee goreng cause previous time not v well-received.
- Swee is bringing Bee Hoon
- Soo is bringing donuts
- Anne is bringing chicken curry
- (Log in and add on to this list if you are bringing something)
- Joan and Poey are coordinating the canteen this time around, together with Oliver. So please tell them what you can contribute!

- Youths in ministry will go around church talking to other youths
- Invite them to come for the 2nd August session
- If they are agreeable, give them a SFX Youth shirt to wear!
- A booth will be set up outside the canteen to showcase all youth ministries and it also acts as a place where youths can sign up to join ministries/communities!
- Testimonies during mass
- There will be a session based on the theme "What Marvels the Lord has Done for Us," in line with the 50th anniversary celebration theme.
- All youths are invited to join in a time of short worship, testimonies and fellowship
- Held in the Parish Hall
- And also National Day - hence there is no catechism --> more kids will be around with their parents
- It will be a flea market where all youths are invited to set up their stalls and sell their "junk"
- All proceeds will go to the funding of the t shirts!
- T Shirt - We will be coming up with an anniversary T-shirt for everyone. We will need to pay around 7-8 dollars for it. So I need the sizes and numbers like by this Sunday. Send me an sms when you see this with the size you want. (let me know if the size applies to both DYD and 50th anniversary)
- Banner/Exhibition - we need to decorate a banner to hang somewhere, and also decide on what to display and stuff on a small booth kinda size.
- Testimony - We need two to go up to the pulpit during mass to give testimonies about youth ministry and community.
- Coordination of the flea market - basically bringing your junk at home to sell - more details to come.

- Need a collage done on confirmation camp - who has the pictures?
- The calender needs to be changed already and as you can see, a lot of events to be put up. Should be done before this sunday! I will be heading down on friday to do it - so join me if you can.
