Well just left a little while before another roller coaster ride!
Looking back so far, i guess we have a good time. Today i was thinking about the session & last night.
I was rather indifferent to what was seen during session. A common reaction to what i see, hear or experience.
Yet a disquiet unfold in my heart. This wasn’t the reaction that should take place. I know there’s little that I or the whole log can do anything about it. Even if I wanted to make a difference, what can I just a person do. Political & social suicide is quite easy. Just rant or make a public announcement would make you simply an idiot in front of every one.
So I just manage my little life. But I won’t say I did much about it. Quite little. Didn’t do that, did many stupid things etc. Watching friends, important things etc slip though my hand like sand. Seeing opportunities like volunteering in youth night just gone, though freaking free. Heartache or just plain numb.
Much as it is, even after missing opportunities, God gives us new opportunities, even if it’s just small opportunities. At least since I left army I’m pretty blessed though maintaining that lazy indifferent exterior.
Looking back, if only i didn't put my ego, my fears, laziness, etc in front of everything, i would definitely done it. For someone, a few or for everyone that mattered.
In anything we do or want, more often than not greed, gluttony, pride, lust, sloth, envy & anger tends to fill up our intentions. My life & heart is filled with plenty of these. God just asks for a small space in everything we do, want & all. Just a small space. Not to cross the line because of this small part or held back when something mattered.
We should try to make a difference. Small ones; big ones very very occasionally.
We were asked to give mercy not sacrifices, according to some bible passage. New testament. Also a parable where a corrupt steward embezzled but was redeemed by his master when he cancelled the debts owed to his master (this one mainly for the lawyers).
The gentle Lord ask us to labour even though we might have run off with our own lives. He calls us back. Every single one of us. Please return.
