Hello everyone :)
Just a quote I want to share, which really spoke to me, since I've been struggling recently with this obsession with making my dreams come true, this obsession with pushing myself to my limits, and every single time I don't think I did myself justice, I'll beat myself up about it, and it really was becoming an obsession, it's kind of like I don't trust God? I kind of feel like if I let it go I'd lose control. Ok, you get the idea, it's an obsession, and it was driving me nuts with frustration. So here's the quote -
"Never be in a hurry. Do everything quietly and in a calm spirit. Do not lose your inward peace for anything whatsoever, even if your whole world seems upset. Commend all to God, and then be still and be at rest in his bosom . Whatever happens, abide steadfast in determination to cling simply to God. Maintain simplicity of mind, and do not smother yourself with a host of cares, wishes, or longings, under any pretext." - St. Francis de Sales
I don't think that needs any elaboration. And I guess I'm really still struggling, and kind of trying to let it go and leave it up to God, I'm slowly easing into it, and I can see how it doesn't mean if I let go, means I stop trying, it just means God has a much easier time of getting me to do it His way instead so Praise God :)
Another thing, I went for CONFESSION today. And I can't even remember how long it has been since I've taken communion. I guess I've always been waiting for the right time, when I was really ready to follow Christ again in my life, so I finally decided that it was time. And I'm really glad, it really felt so good to receive communion again, I felt like I drew close to God once again. So Praise God number two! :)
And one last thing, I really wish I could spend more lunches with you guys on Sunday ): Once december starts again I'll disappear again. ): SAD.
