okay pple. i confess. know why log blog closed down? cos i owe god two posts already. hahah. no im serious. it was his way of bugging me. tt's why blogger so efficient. he take down the blog to scare me, but actually he wants the blog to stay. lol. so anyways, this is really late but its a thanksgiving update. i've shared before the biggest challenge in my life right now is my r/s with my mom, and tt my sis and i share the same struggle (altho not struggling tgt). so before sec3 retreat, my sis kinda had a trash talk with my mom in one of their arguments. i dont really know what she said cos i wasnt there la. then my mom came home and complained to me. and tt kinda gave me the opportunity to tell her what we really feel and play the middle man. previously i felt tt i didnt want to face it, i just wanted to run away. but there was a very very small part of me tt prayed we would talk it out and reconcile. it felt like too much to hope for. but it was answered eventually praise god. it was reassurance from god tt my mom did love us, at least she tries to, and tt she just didnt know how. its not a battle won yet. we're still a long way from where god wants us to be i think. but there was a start and god provided it. yay.

okay second thing i need to blog about. hahah. i was having a lively discussion with my non-christian friends about relationships and marriage and stuff related to TOB etc. it kinda shocked me tt most of them thought about adoption of kids without getting married. okay i admit, it crossed my mind before. think about it, many benefits right. you get to bring up your kid the way you want, no risk of husband/wife turning crazy and abusive on the family, no cheating of husband/wife, somebody to take care of you when you grow old etc. with equality of the sexes, esp in a country like sg, having a mother is as good as having a father (in terms of income, education, values). why need two parents? but only when i was having this discussion did i realise how wrong it was. i guess it goes back to the whole idea of marriage as god meant it to be. tt the two shld be inseparable and they shld bear fruit. so a child shld not come from anywhere other than a marriage. even jesus didnt come from a singe parent family altho all circumstances would result in one in this modern world. still, i dont think tt is a strong enough argument to convince a non-christian. if they dont know christ, dont know TOB, then how?

well, the idea of adopting a child without getting married is selfish. all the reason that you have mentioned is for the benefit of the unmarried person but obviously the child would face much challenges while growing up
